Lens Day Wednesday: Food Photography
The Summer Challenge: Day 25
It’s no secret that I love photography. I have had a camera in my hand since I was in my teens (granted I didn’t have much money for film and/or developing, so I didn’t take tons of photos), and one of my favorite subjects is FOOD! I love the styling, the prep work, and everything that goes with it. I am still learning of course and I don’t have tons of opportunities to photograph real food, so my baked goods are usually what I play around with.
Some of today’s photos don’t have a recipe attached and some do. Enjoy!
I made these yummy chocolate cupcakes for Valentine’s Day a couple years ago. The lighting is off because it was like 1am and my kitchen isn’t very bright. Still, it wasn’t a bad photo considering the conditions.
These are the caramel apples that Shawn and I made during the autumn season a couple years ago. They tasted SO good, and we learned to just use the kit and not make them from scratch. Trust me on this one…
Apple Cranberry Crisp: This was delicious and we made it with the fresh apples that we had picked from the orchard that fall.
Oh monkey bread!! So yummy! So gooey! So delicious!
Cherry Snowball Cookies: I made these last Christmas and they were so good! You can see the recipe HERE!
If you like pumpkin pie and spice cake, you need to try these Spiced Pumpkin Bars. You can see the recipe HERE!
Fresh Peach Pie: This was my 1st pie that I had ever baked (and photographed). You can see the recipe HERE!
Cute ice cream sundae cupcakes that I made for the Teach Appreciation Week Luncheon.
One of these days I plan to really dive into food photography and styling but until then, I like to dabble in it every now and then. 🙂
